About us

Connected Parenting is dedicated to helping families thrive through connection and understanding. Olivia Herrington, the founder of Connected Parenting, was called to parent coaching with a deep-seated passion for supporting mothers and a belief in the power of playful parenting.

Olivia has been a La Leche League leader for over 20 years, has led autistic parenting support groups, and possesses a wealth of knowledge to support a gentle parenting approach that leans into connection with your child. Her experience and dedication form the heart of Connected Parenting's philosophy.

Connected Parenting Coaching Philosophy

I believe that parenting is a deeply personal journey, and there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach. Every child, every parent, and every family is unique, and my goal is to help you find what works best for your family dynamic.

My approach to parent coaching is rooted in gentle parenting, which prioritizes connection, respect, and understanding between parent and child. However, I recognize that every family has different needs, values, and challenges. Instead of offering rigid rules or one universal method, I will work collaboratively with you to tailor strategies that align with your goals.

I focus on:

  • Understanding your child’s needs – Learning to recognize and respond to your child’s emotional, developmental, and sensory needs in a way that fosters security and trust.
  • Building connection – Strengthening the bond between you and your child through empathy, communication, and mindful interactions.
  • Developing practical strategies – Offering tools and guidance that support positive discipline, emotional regulation, and healthy family dynamics in ways that feel sustainable for you.
  • Honoring your parenting instincts – Encouraging self-reflection and confidence in your ability to parent in a way that aligns with your values while also adapting to new insights and challenges.

I do not believe in perfection—only progress, learning, and connection. My role is to support, guide, and empower you to create a relationship with your child that is fulfilling and attuned to both of your needs.

I understand the unique challenges that come with raising children of all ages and abilities and am here to offer guidance and support every step of the way.
